Terms and Conditions
Taurus Autos Ltd

By purchasing a vehicle from Taurus Autos Ltd ("we", "us", or "our"), the customer ("you" or "your") agrees to the following terms and conditions:

1. Repairs and Parts
1.1 We reserve the right to carry out repairs at a garage or mechanic of our choosing.
1.2 We may use replacement parts of our own choosing, which may not be original equipment manufacturer (OEM) or manufacturer-branded parts.
1.3 Repairs will only be undertaken in the event of a clear mechanical or electrical failure. Repairs will not be carried out due to noises, leaks, or general “good engineering practice” unless they directly indicate a failure.
1.4 We will not cover the cost of any work carried out without prior written authorisation from us or the associated warranty provider.
1.5 We reserve the right to request an independent inspection before any repair is approved.
1.6 We will attempt to have your vehicle repaired in a timely manner and within the first try, however this is not always possible. Should the attempted repair be unsuccesful, we reserve the right to attempt further repairs until the issue is rectified.

2. Warranty
2.1 All retail vehicles sold by us will undergo a multi-point inspection (MPI) prior to sale.
2.2 The warranty is non-transferable and begins from the date of vehicle sale.
2.3 Wear-and-tear components (see Section 6) are excluded from the warranty.
2.4 All repairs or inspections must be authorised by us or the warranty provider prior to commencement.
2.5 Continued use of the vehicle after a fault is identified may void the warranty.
2.6 Taurus Autos does not provide a courtesy vehicle during warranty-related repairs.

3. Reporting and Responsibility
3.1 You are responsible for reporting any issues as soon as they occur.
3.2 If an issue is present and you continue to drive the vehicle, we may consider this negligence and reject liability.
3.3 If an issue is not reported promptly, the date of report will be considered the date of the fault.
3.4 We are not liable for any damages or failures resulting from user error, misuse, or neglect.
3.5 You are responsible for inspecting the vehicle and verifying the specification as advertised before purchase.

4. Returns and Inspections
4.1 To exercise rights under the Consumer Rights Act, the vehicle must be returned to:
Taurus Autos Ltd, Honeypot Lane, Colsterworth, NG33 5LY
4.2 A return fee of £500 will apply, plus £0.49 per mile for mileage in excess of the first 500 miles.
4.3 If no fault is identified within 500 miles of purchase, the vehicle will be presumed to have been fault-free at the point of sale.
4.4 We have the right to an inspection to confirm any issues reported. It is your responsiiblity to bring your vehicle back to our site for the inspection.

5. Ownership and Payments
5.1 Ownership of the vehicle remains with us until full payment has been received.
5.2 All deposits made directly with us (excluding third-party websites such as Autotrader) are non-refundable.
5.3 You must collect your vehicle within 7 days of placing a deposit. A storage charge of £10 per day will apply thereafter unless otherwise agreed in writing.
5.4 Part exchange vehicles become our property upon full payment and cannot be returned, even if the purchased vehicle is subsequently returned.

6. Wear and Tear, Cosmetic and Consumable Exclusions
6.1 We are not responsible for wear-and-tear items, cosmetic issues, or consumables after the sale. These include, but are not limited to:

Brake pads and discs

Tyres

Suspension components

Windscreen components

Battery

Interior and exterior cosmetics (e.g. scratches or dents identified after purchase)

Wiper blades and associated components

Lights and bulbs

Clutch and flywheel components

Steering components

Mirrors

Handles and door mechanisms

Corrosion

7. Distance Selling
7.1 For distance sales (i.e. where the purchase is completed without face-to-face interaction), you have the right to return the vehicle within 14 days, as per the Consumer Rights Act.

8. Paperwork and Vehicle Handover
8.1 All available service records and keys will be provided at the time of sale.
8.2 If service records or keys are not available at handover, it will be assumed that none are included, and no further documentation will be issued.
8.3 We do not provide courtesy vehicles during any period your vehicle is undergoing repairs.
8.4 We reserve the right to charge for any damage identified on returned vehicles.

9. Data Protection
9.1 We comply fully with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR). Your personal data is processed securely and only for legitimate business purposes.

10. Vehicle Inspections and Test Drives
10.1 You are encouraged to inspect and test-drive the vehicle before purchase.
10.2 By completing the sale, you acknowledge that you are satisfied with the condition of the vehicle, or have had the opportunity to inspect it to your satisfaction.
